Tune in tomorrow night at 7pm eastern to BJPenn.Com Radio as hosts Bryan Levick & Mitch Ciccarelli will discuss Saturday night’s historic UFC 157 card. They will be focusing on the first ever women’s bout in the UFC as Ronday Rousey defends her UFC Bantamweight Championship against Liz Carmouche in the main event.
Other bouts featured on UFC 157: Former Strikeforce Light Heavyweight Champion and two-division Pride champion Dan Henderson will face former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Lyoto Machida for the right to face the winner of the Jon Jones-Chael Sonnen title fight scheduled for UFC 159 in April. Former WEC Featherweight Champion and two-time UFC Bantamweight title contender Urijah Faber will look to rebound from his loss to Renan Barao at UFC 149 when he faces Ivan Menjivar.
Joining your hosts will be UFC welterweight Tyron Woodley who is coming off a huge 1st round knockout victory over Jay Hieron in his UFC debut at UFC 156. Woodley is a former Strikeforce welterweight title contender and has a record of 11-1. Woodley was a college teammate of Bellator Welterweight Champion Ben Askren and trains with American Top Team. He campaigned unsuccessfully to replace Johny Hendricks against Jake Ellenberger at UFC 158 after Hendricks was moved up to the co-main event slot opposite Carlos Condit after Rory MacDonald was injured.
UFC.com writer E. Spencer Kyte and fellow Fight! Magazine columnist Bear Frazer will be calling in to discuss UFC 157 and everything else going on in the world of MMA. March is going to be a very busy month so there will be plenty to talk about. Kyte has been a guest of the show before as has Frazer and they both offer great insight as well as some good laughs. Kyte’s work can also be found on Sportsnet Canada and The Province, a newspaper and on-line publication in his hometown of Victoria, British Columbia. Frazer has his hands in many different projects including The Bam Theory and Arena.Com, where he is an editorial director.
