Tim Kennedy has taken on the role as voice of the voiceless when it comes to fighters who are afraid to voice their opinions about the UFC’s partnership with Reebok. Seeing how UFC handled Robert “Stitch” Duran’s situation, fighters have the right to want to bite their tongue.

The entire band of fighters who competed on this past Saturday’s “UFC Fight Night 73” received a collective $107,500 in sponsorship money from Reebok. Kennedy did not hesitate to bash the payout, claiming he made more in a single Strikeforce fight than the hold card combined!

“Where the sport is now, it’s horrible, tragic, and pathetic. Glover just fought OSP, right? The entire Reebok payout was $100,000 or something? All, every athlete on the entire UFC card that night,” Kennedy said while on the MMA Hour. “I made more sponsorship money in Strikeforce than every single athlete on that card that night. In one fight! Me vs. Luke Rockhold or me vs. Jacare. Even my last fight, me versus Zak Cummings. I made more than every single UFC athlete, to include Glover, who just fought for the title against Jon Jones, cumulatively.”

Kennedy is biding his time waiting for the right opponent for his return to the octagon. He has not made an appearance in the cage since his loss to Yoel Romero in September 2014. Before suffering that loss, Kennedy was undefeated in the octagon with a three fight win streak.
