As the UFC finalizes its 20th anniversary card, matchmakers are looking for the most exciting match ups they can make; and in flyweight fighters, Tim Elliott and Ali Bagautnov, they did just that.
The UFC announced via Twitter Wednesday that Elliott and Bagautinov will face at UF 167 in November, a Las Vegas card that features a stacked card headlined by welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre taking on hard-hitting challenger, Johny Hendricks.
Top-ten flyweight contender, Tim Elliott (10-3-1), is coming off two consecutive victories in the Octagon. The most recent was a unanimous decision over Louis Gaudinot at UFC 164.
Bagautinov (11-2) made his UFC debut earlier this month, coming into the UFC with an 8-fight winning streak. He kept that going with a third-round TKO over Marcos Vinicius at UFC Fight Night 28.
Elliott and Bagautinov are set to fight on the preliminary card of UFC 167. The event will take place November 16 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. The main card will broadcast live on Pay-Per-View.
