The UFC has plotted its attack with Fox Sports.
On Thursday, coverage plans for its first three live shows on the new all-sports network were announced.
The UFC will eat up seven-and-a-half hours straight of coverage, including all of prime time, on the launch date of Fox Sports 1, slated for Saturday, Aug. 17.
According to MMAfighting.com, plans look to have Wednesday being UFC night on the station with live events set for Aug. 28 and Sept. 4, as well as The Ultimate Fighter reality show having a 10 p.m. Wednesday night time.
A goal of UFC president Dana White’s was to have a weekly UFC show patterned after “Tuesday Night Fights,” which aired on the USA Network from 1982 to 1998.
The idea is the weekly fight show would help expose and build future superstars, whose big fights would then air on pay-per-view.Tags: Dana White, Fox Sports 1, mma, MMA NEWS, ufc, ufc news, UFC on FOX Sports 1
