Joey Beltran (14-7 MMA, 3-4 UFC) will make his return to the octagon this July at UFC on Fuel TV 4, this time as a light heavyweight.

He will be taking on James Te Huna (14-5 MMA, 3-1 UFC), who was originally slated to fight Brandon Vera on the UFC on FUEL TV 4 card. However, Vera was pulled from the fight in favor of headling UFC on Fox 4, against Mauricio ‘Shogun’ Rua.

Beltran was released from the UFC following his loss to Lavar Johnson back in January of this year. After opening his UFC career with 2 wins over Rolles Gracie Jr. and Tim Hague, the Mexicutioner went 1-4 in his past 5 bouts with the organization.

Following his release, Joey made the decision to drop down to the light heavyweight division. He fought Anton Talamante in his light heavyweight debut this April, and won that fight via decision.

Te Huna is riding a two-fight win streak that includes victories over Aaron Rosa and Ricardo Romero. James has gone 8-1 in his past nine fights, with his lone loss coming at the hands of rising star Alexander Gustafsson.

UFC on FUEL TV 4 takes place July 11th, at the HP Pavilion in San Jose, California. The event is headlined by a key middleweight match-up between Mark Munoz and Chris Weidman.
