PEDS BE GONE! CSAC Surprise Testing All Upcoming UFC Fighters

The California State Athletic Commission is taking the bull by the horns and really going after PED users.

They have recently tested the full UFC 184 card with blood test and suspended two Bellator fighters, Mike Richman for two years and former champ Alexander Shlemenko for three. They are really going after it, regardless of the expensive costs.

Now, they are testing nearly every fighter on the upcoming UFC Fight Night 71: Mir vs. Duffee out of competition ahead of the event. Random testing for all the U.S. fighters took place last week. The international fighters will most likely be given carbon isotope ratio (CIR) tests when they arrive to the states.
