Jon “Bones” Jones and Daniel Cormier go at it on Twitter!

Several months after their first meeting in the octagon for the UFC Light Heavyweight Championship at UFC 182, Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier are ready to go at it again.

Jones reigned supreme in the light heavyweight division for nearly four years before he was forced to relinquish the championship due to legal issues. After eight successful defenses against the likes of Quinton “Rampage” Jackson and Rashad Evans, the man to defeat Jones for his belt was himself.

Jones was stripped of the championship and suspended from the UFC after he allegedly fled the scene of a three-vehicle accident that he apparently caused. He was scheduled to defend the belt at “UFC 187” against Anthony “Rumble” Johnson, but was forced out of the bout due to the suspension. Instead, Daniel Cormier stepped in and took the fight on short notice and became the new UFC Light Heavyweight Champion.

Five months after winning the championship, Cormier defended the strap for the first time against Alexander Gustafsson in a five round war. Cormier walked out on top, but it wasn’t without a price. The two warriors left it all in the octagon and it prompted Cormier to announce he would be taking some time off after a busy 2015.

In the meantime, Jones learned he would not be serving jail time, but rather community service. This would allow him to train and compete in the UFC… all he’s waiting for is a phone call from Dana White. Jones recently took to Twitter to call out Cormier letting him know that he will be ready for him whenever he decides to come back

When these two meet again, who do you think will come out on top?
