The day Dana White and Ultimate Fighting Championship started their battle against performance enhancing drugs in mixed martial arts, most fighters rejoiced. While some would eventually get popped for banned substances, it would be for the greater good in making the sport safer for the health of the fighters.

MMA is not a non-contact sport that could benefit from the use of steroids like baseball has. When the argument was made on a recent episode of Stud Show Radio for PEDs to be legalized in MMA so fighters, as humans, could reach their full physical potential Danny Castillo ripped the idea to shreds.

“There’s no passion behind that… If you don’t have the right doctor then you can have heart attacks and all kinds of crazy s*** if you don’t have people monitoring you. And then there’s going to be kids who are fifteen years old jumping on it to get an early start for when they turn eighteen— that’s a terrible idea.”
