Cerrone Admits He Never Heard Of His UFC on FOX 10 Opponent

By BJPENN.COM News - January 24, 2014

Tomorrow night on FOX, Donald Cerrone, will enter the cage against a relatively unknown fighter.

Since his induction into the UFC, Cerrone, has faced nothing but the lightweight divisions top fighters. Names like Siver, Diaz, Pettis and more come to mind when re-visiting his UFC career.

But for Cerrone, the man simply doesn’t care, he just went broke and needs to cash in on a payday.

In a recent interview with Ariel Helwani, Cerrone discussed fighting the unknown, Adriano Martins, on tomorrow night’s UFC on FOX 10 main card.

“Never heard of him, don’t care. Saturday night he better show up,” said Cerrone.

“If there’s anybody on the bench that wants a fight, Cowboy will fight you. I’m not trying to protect my ranking. You want to fight, let’s fight.”

For his part, Martins, is currently riding high on a six-fight win streak that includes a bout in Strikeforce and his UFC debut against Daron Cruickshank last November.
