T.J. Dillashaw Refuses To Be A “Diva Champion”

By BJPENN.COM News - July 3, 2014

UFC bantamweight champion T.J. Dillashaw spoke to Fox Sports about his plans for his reign as the champion of the 135 pound division. Yesterday news broke that the UFC was targeting UFC 177 for a Barao vs. Dillashaw rematch, T.J. commented on it today saying:

“I don’t want to pick and choose. I don’t want to be one of those diva champions. If he’s the biggest draw, then let’s bring it. Obviously, I have the game plan to beat him and I have the skills to beat him. “

Also in talks of title shots, some fans expected Rafael Assuncao to get a title shot. Interestingly enough, Dillashaw lost a close decision to Assuncao, that many believed Dillashaw won.

“I won that fight and I would love to get it back obviously. I do want to fight Assuncao. If not next, he’ll come. I want to fight whoever they throw at me. I want to be the guy they can count on.”
