UFC’s Memorial Day show has had another match-up added to it’s lineup.
Bantamweights T.J. Dillashaw and Takeya Mizugaki will meet inside of the Octagon this May at the aforementioned UFC 173, which will be headlined by Vitor Belfort taking on Chris Weidman for his middleweight championship. The bout was announced this afternoon.
Dillashaw last saw the inside of the cage in January, where he won his UFC Fight Night 35 fight against Mike Easton via unanimous decision win.
Mizugaki has won his last four fights, albeit all by decisions. Before those wins, his UFC career was a yo-yo of wins and losses; One up, then one down. One up, then another one down. See why I called it a “yo-yo”? Brilliance, I know.
With this addition to the card, here’s how the event is shaping up:
- Chris Weidman vs. Vitor Belfort
- James Krause vs. Jamie Varner
- T.J. Dillashaw vs. Takeya Mizugaki
- Chris Holdsworth vs. Kyung Ho Kang
- Doo Ho Choi vs. Sam Sicilia
