Following a failed drug test after UFC 168, Dennis Siver has been temporarily suspended by the Nevada State Athletic Commission. According to Foxsports.com, the suspension is temporary, until a future commission hearing will decide Siver’s fate, which will most likely be a suspension ranging from six to nine months, as well as possibility of fines and his win being overturned.
Siver’s failed drug test came from his UFC 168 match with Manny Gamburyan, which he won via unanimous decision. Siver tested positive for Human chorionic gonadotropin, a hormone that can increase testosterone production. Siver has blamed the positive drug test on supplements.
