Bellator Middleweight Champion Alexander Shlemenko made a short video yesterday calling out Tito Ortiz for the May 17th Bellator PPV card. Ortiz had JUST announced via twitter that he was officially cleared to fight when Shlemenko respectfully called out the former UFC champ:
“Tito Ortiz, you say you want to fight May 17th on the Bellator PPV. I will fight you. I will beat you. ”
Shlemenko is even expressed that he would make a move up in weight class to meet up with Ortiz:
“Tito, I respect you but I must beat you because I am the champion. I know Tito Ortiz is in a different weight class. I know Tito Ortiz is a light-heavyweight, but it’s not a problem for me. I ready to fight at light-heavyweight no problem. Bjorn, make this fight for me because I am the champion. I am the best.
I will make a good fight. Fight of the night.”
Tito Ortiz seemed to be totally game for the match-up, responding very positively on twitter:
I guess great things come in three. 1.I get full custody of my Boyz 2.I get cleared the fight 3.The Champ calls me out. 2day was a good day!
