Sean Pierson vs. Rick Story set for UFC 158 in Montreal | UFC News

By Chris Taylor - January 8, 2013

UFC 158 now has a total of 6 slated welterweight bouts on the card, as it was announced today that Sean Pierson (13-6 MMA, 3-2 UFC) will now meet Rick Story (14-6 MMA, 7-4 UFC) March 16th in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

UFC 158 will mark the fourth time that Pierson has fought in front of his home country while under the UFC banner. Sean has strung together decision victories over Jake Hecht and Lance Benoist in his past 2 octagon appearances, this after dropping back-to-back fights to Jake Ellenberger and Dong Hyun Kim respectively.

Meanwhile, Story, who started his octagon career by going 6-0, finds himself in desperate need of a win. The “Horror” Story has dropped 3 of his past 4 fights, including his most recent fight against Demian Maia in October, which resulted in a submission loss. Prior to those 4 contests, Story seemed to be on the fast track to a title shot as he had earned victories over Johny Hendricks and Thiago Alves.

UFC 158 takes place March 16th live from the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. The main event features a welterweight title fight between current champ Georges St. Pierre and former Strikeforce title holder Nick Diaz.
