Sam Stout vs. K.J. Noons set for the “TUF Nations: Finale” in Quebec City

By Chris Taylor - January 29, 2014

During today’s UFC news conference in Quebec City, UFC executive Tom Wright announced that a lightweight bout featuring hard hitting strikers Sam Stout (20-9-1 MA, 9-8 UFC) and K.J. Noons (12-7 MMA, 1-1 UFC) is the latest addition to the “TUF Nations: Finale” event set for April 16 in Quebec City, Canada.

Sam “Hands of Stone” Stout was last seen in action at the “UFC on FOX 9” event in December, where he earned a lop-sided victory over Cody McKenzie. Prior to that, Stout suffered a third-round submission loss to James Krause at the UFC 161 event in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Meanwhile, the former EliteXC lightweight champion, K.J. Noons, is coming off his first ever victory under the Zuffa banner. Noons earned a unanimous decision victory over dangerous submission specialist George Sotiropoulos at the UFC 166 event in Houston, Texas, this past October. The victory brought K.J’s UFC record to 1-1, as he had been defeated via decision in his octagon debut by Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone at UFC 160.

The “TUF Nations: Finale” is set to go down live from the Colisée Pepsi in Quebec City, Quebec on April 16, 2014. The event will also feature TUF Nations coaches Patrick Cote and Kyle Noke throwing down in a welterweight bout.
