Royce Gracie and Ken Shamrock could go down as one of the best rivalries from the earlier days in UFC. Gracie made quick work of Shamrock in the first UFC ever when he submitted him in just fifty-seven seconds.
Their second fight went the distance and was quite the opposite of their first meeting inside the octagon. This meeting went just over thirty-five minutes longer and is still the longest fight in UFC history at 36 minutes long. Neither Shamrock or Gracie would leave with their hands raised as there could be no decision due to the lack of judges.
They have a chance to settle the score, and it could happen in Bellator. Royce Gracie wants to prove his first win over Shamrock wasn’t a fluke. When he was told that Shamrock wanted to fight him, Gracie simply responded “That’s good. When you’re at the top, everyone wants to fight you.”
“Body feels good, not injured, healthy and same weight from 20 years ago,” Gracie told MMAJunkie.
