Rousey on Holm Rematch: “If I don’t win I’ll be done with everything!”

Ronda “Rowdy” Rousey is an all or nothing type of person. Her statement of wanting to retire undefeated in the UFC was a bold statement given the striking superiority of Holly Holm and Cris Cyborg wanting a crack at then champ, Ronda Rousey.

Rousey spoke with ESPN magazine:

“What else am I going to fu**ing do?” Rousey asked Ramona Shelburne.

Promotion president Dana White already guaranteed his fallen star an immediate rematch, but now the stakes are even higher. If Rousey is unable to reclaim her bantamweight title from “The Preacher’s Daughter,” she may call it a career.

“I guess it’s all going to be determined by what happens in the rematch,” Rousey said. “Everything is going to be determined by that. Either I’ll win and keep going or I won’t and I’ll be done with everything.” Rousey explained.

With Rousy keeping striking coach Edmond Tarverdyn in her camp, will Tarverdyn review film with Rousey and watch in between rounds when Rousey appeared to being “out of it” while Taverdyn urged his semi-conscious fighter that she was doing great.

Will Rousey retire if she loses the rematch?
