“Everyone has an instinct to fight. It’s something human. It’s not something invented— it’s not amazing women can fight. Think about it— women have the most powerful, protective instinct out there. Women are hardwired to fight more than men are… It IS amazing that we are given a venue now. I’ll be even more amazed when there are no more ‘Ws’. Why is it called ‘WMMA’? I don’t see any ‘MMMA’… Eventually it’ll just be mixed martial arts. I don’t want to see anymore f*****g Ws.”

Ronda Rousey shares her thoughts on being categorized as a “women’s mixed martial artist”. Rousey is set to defend her UFC Women’s Bantamweight Championship against Bethe Correia at UFC 190 in Brazil.
