UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey will prepare with #MoreThanTape for her title fight with Holly Holm at UFC 193.
Reebok recently launched the campaign (#MoreThanTape) on twitter to allow fans the chance to have their own positive messages written on Ronda Rousey’s hand tape.
The movement brought in more than 3,000 messages from passionate fans of Rousey.
“Rowdy” will wrap her hands with the personalized tape during training sessions for her November title fight with undefeated challenger Holly Holm.
Rousey spoke to FOX Sports about her special hand wraps:
“My hand wraps mean so much more to me than most fighters out there. Each ball of tape I create after a training session equates to a day of hard work and another step toward achieving my goals as a fighter and human,” Rousey said.
“To have the support of my fans printed onto something that means an incredible amount to me is really inspirational and I can’t wait to receive the hand wraps during training camp.”
Ronda Rousey will look to defend her title for a seventh-straight time when she takes on “The Preachers Daughter” November 15 in Australia’s Etihad Stadium.
