Ronda Rousey releases first public statement since devastating KO loss to Holly Holm

This past weekends UFC 193 main event fight between Ronda Rousey and Holly Holm sent shockwaves around the world.

Holm and Rousey were trending on the Internet after the undefeated Holm delivered a devastating knock out finish of Rousey to take the UFC women’s bantamweight championship belt.

Rousey released her first statement via Instagram since her loss. The former champion was sent to the hospital after the match and was not present at the post-fight press conference.

“I just wanted to thank everyone for the love and support,” Rousey wrote on her Instagram post. “I appreciate the concerns about my health, but I’m fine. As I had mentioned before, I’m going to take a little bit of time, but I’ll be back.”
