Anderson ‘The Spider’ Silva has reportedly inked a new 15-fight contract with the UFC according to Silva.

The Spider informed Combate about his new contract, which doesn’t necessarily guarantee that the former middleweight champion will complete all 15 fights before retiring, but likely means he will finish his career with the UFC, however many fights that is.

“I had seven fights on my contract. I met (UFC executives) Lorenzo (Fertitta) and Dana (White) on Thursday, and that contract was canceled. We signed for another 15 fights. To make Dana crazy, I signed for 15 more fights. And to make my family crazy too.”

Anderson also stated that he is “In a nice relationship with Adidas.” Likely signaling the end of his sponsorship deal with Nike.

Silva is already scheduled to fight Nick Diaz at UFC 183 in January, which will be his first fight back in the Octagon after breaking his shin in 2013 against Chris Weidman.
