By BJPENN.COM News - September 29, 2015

On Tuesday former UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones appeared in court and plead guilty to a felony charge of fleeing the scene of an accident. It was a part of a plea deal his team had worked out.

The judge heard from Jones’ legal team and then from Jones himself. ‘Bones’ apologized to the court room, the women who was involved in the accident and all the people he had embarrassed. He also asked the judge for a chance for him to redeem himself, which he got.

He avoided jail time and got 18 months of probation, along with 72 required visits to schools, gyms etc., to speak with children.
