RDA: ‘Conor McGregor Can’t Succeed At Lightweight, Or Featherweight’

By BJPENN.COM News - September 29, 2015

If UFC interim featherweight champion Conor McGregor were to get past Jose Aldo at UFC 194 there has been a lot of talk about him eventually moving up to the lightweight division. If that were to be the case, a fight with current champ Rafael dos Anjos would surely be a possibility, especially with the trash talk they’ve already been involved in.

Rafael Dos Anjos

Dos Anjos recently talked to GNP1.de and said he would be down to fight Mcgregor and would definitely smash him, but, he doesn’t even think McGregor can past some of the best featherweights.

Check it out!

“I don’t think he can succeed even in the featherweight division. He’s not beating the top guys. Who has this guy beat? He fought Dennis Siver, which was a top 15 and he got a title shot against Jose Aldo. How about Frankie Edgar? How about Chad Mendes in a good shape? He got a ten days notice. How about, you know, Jeremy Stephens? How about Cub Swanson, all those top guys in the division? Even Charles Oliveira, the Brazilian, would kill him.”

“I think, if he beats Aldo — which I think is really hard — but if he does, I will be happy to welcome him. He got a big mouth, he talk well for the people. He’s a comedian guy, and he’s bring a lot of media to him. If he’s gonna come to lightweight division, I’m here and will make sure to smash him.”
