Quinton “Rampage” Jackson revisits 2008 miscarriage accusations

Back in July of 2008, former UFC light heavyweight champion Quinton “Rampage” Jackson was involved in a high speed chase with police that lasted from Newport Beach, California and ended in Costa Mesa with police surrounding Jackson, guns drawn.

During the pursuit, which started due to Rampage losing his title to Forrest Griffin, Rampage hit several cars and scared the daylight out of more than a few pedestrians.

One of the people who’s vehicle was struck by Jackson during his, well… rampage, surfaced with accusations that the incident caused her not only physical harm but also caused her to have a miscarriage.

Holli Griggs claimed that Jackson hit her Cadillac Escalade during the chase causing her bodily harm however, Jackson was never charged with any crime involving Griggs.

“The lady … heard I was a celebrity and I knocked her mirror off and she wanted to sue me and she wanted to say I made her have a miscarriage, when she had a miscarriage two days before the accident,” said Jackson.

Although it seems that Rampage is innocent in this aspect of the situation it has followed him over the year.

“She was just trying to make money,” said Rampage. “The insurance got down to it and knew that she was lying, and she didn’t win any money from that; she just got her money from insurance. It … kept the negative image out there.”

Rampage was forced to do community service after taking a plea agreement for the multiple felony charges he was facing. According to MMAjunkie, Farrah Emami, Orage County District Attorney spokesperson, stated that they found no correlation between Jackson’s incident and the alleged miscarriage.

“The evidence actually indicated otherwise – he was not responsible,” Emami said. “He’s absolutely correct about that. He was not responsible for that miscarriage.”
