With two weeks left to go, the co-main event of UFC on FX 8: Belfort vs. Rockhold has shifted. Middleweight Constantinos “Costa” Philippou (12-2-1) has a suffered a cut above his eye and was forced out of his bout against Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza (17-3-1).

Souza will now make his UFC debut against Chris Camozzi (19-5). Camozzi has won his last four fights in a row. He was supposed to face Rafael Natal (15-4-1), but was shifted into the match-up with Souza because of Philippou’s injury. Natal will now face Joao Zeferino. This fight will be Zeferino’s UFC debut. UFC officials confirmed the changes this morning.

Philippou is on a 5-fight-win streak. He last defeated Tim Boetsch via technical knockout in the third round last December at UFC 155: Dos Santos vs. Velasquez 2.

Souza, who was the former Strikeforce middleweight champion, is on a 3-fight-win streak. He last defeated Ed Herman at Strikeforce: Marquardt vs. Saffiedine via submission in the first round this past January.
