Phil Davis Refuses To ‘Poke Fun’ At Jon Jones

By BJPENN.COM News - September 10, 2015

In the past, former UFC and current Bellator MMA light heavyweight Phil Davis had no problem throwing verbal jabs at Jon ‘Bones’ Jones. These days, not so much.

Davis and Jones had an ongoing beef for a little while. Davis did an interview saying Jones would crumble like a cookie, then Davis went to Bellator and Jones responded, telling him ‘good luck trying to crumble me all the way over there.’

After that, Davis again responded with a sarcastic apology to Jones, for hurting his feelings.

Well fast forward to now, with Jones indefinitely suspended and stripped of his title stemming from an alleged hit and run incident.

Davis recently talked to MMAMania.com and said with everything going on, he really can’t poke fun at Jones

Check it out!

“I really can’t poke fun at him where he is at right now. I don’t want to see anybody in that predicament. Not just professional athletes, but regular people. A lot of people this weekend (Labor Day) went out partying and drinking and got a DUI and got into car accidents and so I don’t want people to make those kind of bad decisions. I’ve been there and I’ve made those bad decisions and it’s not cool. Like I said, I can’t poke fun at him. I want him to get back on track and get back to doing what he likes to do.”
