Phil Davis On Accepting Tournament Offer –– ‘I Don’t Know How To Say No’

By BJPENN.COM News - September 18, 2015

Light heavyweight fighter Phil Davis is set to make his Bellator MMA debut on the promotions biggest card yet, this Saturday’s ‘Dynamite’ event.

Davis will be one of four fighters competing in the one-night tournament to determine the next title challenger. In his first fight he will be facing former champ Emanuel Newton. If he can get past Newton he’ll meet the winner of ‘King Mo’ Lawal vs. Linton Vassell in the final.

Davis spoke with the media ahead of the event, including BJPENN.COM’s Layzie The Savage, and talked about why he accepted the offer to fight in the special tournament. He said first off, he just doesn’t know how to say no. But he also did it because he wants his name to be apart of such a big event, something he thinks people will be talking about for a long time.
