This revelation lead to a new title fight being booked between newly crowned champion, Anthony Pettis and Josh Thomson.
Through his Jiu Jitsu coach, Diego Moraes, the UFC champ released the following statement to MMAFighting.com:
“I already expected that Thomson would get the shot. “I know TJ would’ve been a tough fight, and I feel for him, but I will be prepared (for Thomson). It’s a different game, but he’s a striker so it’s a good match-up for us. We’ve trained jiu-jitsu together once in Hawaii, so I know what he can bring to the fight.”Tags: Anthony Pettis, Josh Thomson, mma, MMA NEWS, TJ Grant, ufc, ufc news
