Official White House Petition Filed For Nick Diaz

By BJPENN.COM News - September 15, 2015

The MMA world exploded on Monday when the Nevada State Athletic Commission decided to suspend UFC fighter and former Strikeforce champion Nick Diaz for five years and fined him $165,000 for a failed drug test from UFC 183, which was positive for marijuana.

His legal team presented a very sound case, showing inconsistencies in the three samples tested, still, the NSAC decided to rule on the basis that they felt disrespected by Diaz. They cited his past offenses and seemed upset that he decided to take his legal teams advice and plead the fifth amendment instead of answer any of their questions. So, they handed down a five year suspension. Anderson Silva, his opponent at UFC 183, failed his drug tests for steroids. He received a one year suspension. Yeah.

Well, the MMA community is a crazy bunch, but they are also a loyal bunch. After the hearing a fan decided it was time to create an official White House petition, citing the NSAC’s harsh penalty.
