NSAC Suspends Rousimar Palhares And Jake Shields For Unsportsmanlike Conduct

Today at the Nevada State Athletic Commission hearing it was announced that World Series of Fighting’s Rousimar Palhares and Jake Shields have been suspended for unsportsmanlike conduct following their WSOF 22 scrap.

The suspension is temporary and will hold in place until their disciplinary hearing which is scheduled for Sept. 14.

Shields was suspended for punching Palhares after the fight and Palhares for holding onto the fight ending submission too long.

Shields also claimed that Palhares gouged his eyes during the fight, but that was not mentioned during the hearing.
