NSAC Brings The Hammer Down On Palhares And Shields Following WSOF Antics

Shields Palhares

The Nevada State Athletic Commission has suspended both Rousimar Palhares and Jake Shields following their title fight at WSOF 22.

Palhares was already stripped of his title and suspended indefinitely by the promotion after he repeatedly scratched at Shields eyes and held onto a fight ending submission well after Shields had tapped.

Shields has yet to receive any disciplinary action from WSOF for his after the bell punch but the NSAC has decided to hand temporary suspensions to both fighters. They have also set a disciplinary hearing for Sept. 13.
