The instant replay is one of the most used objects in professional sports, from the NBA and the NFL, to the UFC.

As the head of the New Jersey State Athletic Control Board, Larry Hazzard has reappointed the instant replay to combat sports events.

He spoke to MMAJunkie about his decision to reinstate the instant replay feature.

“In the interest of fairness, we should try to be as correct as we can be, especially decisions that can have an impact on the outcome,”

“I just felt that it is time for the sport of boxing to get in step with modern day sports,”

The instant replay will be put back in action for November 8th boxing match between Bernard Hopkins and Sergey Kovalev.
