Ariel Helwani broke the news Tuesday night on “UFC Tonight.” Helwani stated that Diaz will now be under the management services of Mike Kogan, who heads Real Talk Entertainment. Kogan’s notable clients include Roy Nelson and Muhammed ‘King Mo’ Lawal.
Diaz will still train under Gracie and their close camp of Nick Diaz, Gilbert Melendez, and Jake Shields among others.
Neither Gracie or Kogan would comment on the report, but sources close to the situation were able to confirm the news.
Diaz (16-8) is next scheduled to compete at UFC on Fox 7: “Henderson vs. Melendez” on April 20, 2013, when he takes on former Strikeforce lightweight champion Josh Thomson at the HP Pavilion in San Jose, California. He is coming off a loss to current lightweight champion Benson Henderson.
Nick Diaz, has not parted ways with Gracie, according to Helwani, because he’s “retired.”Tags: Cesar Gracie, MMA NEWS, nate, ufc news
