The UFC’s return trip to Germany just got its headliner. A middleweight bout between Mark Munoz (pictured) and Gegard Mousasi.
UFC officials announced the bout this morning.
‘UFC Fight Night 41: Munoz vs. Mousasi’ is set to go down on May 31st from the O2 World Berlin in Germany. The event marks the UFC’s third trip to the country, but it’s the first time a UFC event will be staged in Berlin.
Both men will be looking to bounce back from Lyoto Machida losses.
Munoz hasn’t seen action since last October in the U.K. where he suffered a first-round KO loss to ‘The Dragon’. The top middleweight fighter is 8-4 with the promotion since making his debut back in 2009.
Mousasi last fought in February against Machida and suffered a unanimous decision defeat. The loss was his first in eight straight fights, spanning a course of nearly four-years.
No other bouts have been announced for the event. Stay tuned to BJPENN.COM for developments.Tags: Fight Night 41, Gegard Mousasi, Mark Muñoz, mma, MMA NEWS, Munoz vs. Mousasi, ufc, ufc news
