Joe Camacho, an MMA veteran and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu coach out of Los Angeles, Calif. has passed away.
Camacho, who ran the Joe Camacho Jiu Jitsu academy in Los Angeles, also competed in MMA organizations such as Bellator, Shooto, King of The Cage, and others.
After returning home from a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu tournament in Long Beach, Calif., Camacho told his girlfriend that he was not feeling well.
He was rushed to the hospital, and subsequently pronounced dead after his screams were heard late in the night.
Police do not believe foul play was involved, but declined to comment on the cause of death until the coroner’s report is released.
