A fight that has been long been expected inches closer to reality.
Conor McGregor is almost a lock to face Cole Miller in the main event when the UFC visits Ireland in July.
According to a Wednesday report on UFC Tonight, Miller has already been told about the potential fight for July 19, but has not been given a contract for it.
All parties involved are waiting on McGregor’s knee to heal. McGregor had surgery last year after he suffered a torn ACL (during his second UFC figh)t with Max Holloway in August 2013. Doctors will need to officially clear him to make the bout official.
McGregor (14-2) is currently riding a ten-fight winning streak .He made his UFC debut on April 6, 2013, scoring a first round knockout over Marcus Brimage.
Miller (21-8) is 10-6 in the UFC. In October, after earning a victory over Andy Ogle, Miller used his post-fight interview to call out, “Colin McGoober.”Tags: cole miller, Conor McGregor, Ireland, MMA NEWS, ufc news
