UFC 174 in Vancouver is starting to take shape, with an expected headliner of Demetrious “Mighty Mouse” Johnson vs Ali “Puncher King” Bagautinov, as announced by UFC officials.
Johnson (19-2-1, 7-1-1 UFC), will look to continue what has proven to be a dominant UFC title run. Since capturing the inaugural Flyweight title in 2012, Johnson has won three straight, including a decision over heavy hitter John Dodson and finishes over John Moraga and Joseph Benavidez, firmly establishing himself as a pound-for-pound great.
Bagautinov (13-2, 3-0 UFC), is one of the brightest prospects out of Dagestan, earning his shot with an undefeated run in the UFC, knocking out Marcos Vinicus, and winning hard-fought decisions over top 125ers Tim Elliot and John Lineker. While initially slightly hesitant to take the title shot, Bagautinov has apparently changed his mind, and is certainly a deserving contender.
UFC 174 takes place in Vancouver, Canada, and also features a co-headlining bout between top Welterweight contenders Rory MacDonald and Tyron Woodley.Tags: ali bagautinov, Demetrious Johnson, Mighty Mouse, mma, MMA NEWS, ufc, UFC 174, ufc news
