Akira Corassani, who won via disqualification due to an illegal knee against Maximo Blanco at The Ultimate Fighter Season 18 Finale has now been sidelined for up to six months.
Corassani had his nose broken in five places due to the knee, and the Nevada State Athletic Commission has decided to medically suspend the The Ultimate Fighter Season 14 competitor. Corassani can be cleared by a doctor, but the broken nose could put him out for an extended period of time.
Juliana Pena, who TKO’d Jessica Rakoczy to become the first ever female winner of TUF, will be sidelined until she gets cleared by a doctor after she has her right thumb x-rayed.
