The verbal jabs could turn into real ones.
Conor McGregor and Cole Miller have had their fun shooting off insults at each other through the press and social media. Now rumors are swirling that the two UFC lightweights could meet up at UFC Fight Night in Dublin scheduled for July 19.
Although UFC President Dana White told MMAJUNKIE that a headliner hasn’t been determined for the show but he’s pretty sure Ireland’s McGregor will be there.
“We don’t have anything yet (for the main event),” White said. “But I’m pretty confident Conor will be on that card, so we’ll see what happens.”
Since his UFC arrival in 2013, McGregor (14-2) and has gone 2-0, pushing his winning streak to 10 straight. He has been on the sidelines due to a knee injury.
Miller (21-8) is 10-6 in the UFC. In October, after earning a victory over Andy Ogle, Miller used his post-fight interview to call out, “Colin McGoober.”
