Following his dominant win over Dustin Poirier at UFC 178, Conor McGregor attended the post-fight press conference complete with an “ivory elephant trunk suit” to continue his verbal assault on the featherweight division. (Read about it HERE).
McGregor also informed media members that he would be open to fighting at lightweight, but not until after he wins the featherweight championship.
I don’t like making this weight. I like fighting at lightweight. I’ve fought many times, and I’m fast at lightweight. I come in refreshed at lightweight. It’s a different camp. It’s a different build up than fighting at featherweight. I’m definitely open to fighting at lightweight. I don’t feel oversized by lightweights, so definitely.
