We are two weeks removed from the biggest boxing fight of the decade and reports are still coming out about new records being broken by Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao!

ESPN’s Dan Rafael is reporting that the Nevada State Athletic Commission announced “May/Pac” broke the all-time boxing gate record. After selling just over 16,000 tickets, they were able to generate $72,198,500! With only 46 tickets being comped and 9 tickets going unsold, the average price per ticket at face value was $4451.48.

Unfortunately for those fans in attendance and those who watched on pay-per-view, the fight wasn’t as entertaining as they had hoped. Still, Mayweather kept his undefeated record in tact and proved that defense can win championships.
