Nate Marquardt is returning to a division that he knows all about.

UFC officials announced on Monday that Marquardt is set to fight former light heavyweight James Te Huna in the main event of UFC Fight Night 43. UFC Fight Night 43 is expected be held at the Vector Arena in Auckland, New Zealand and take place on June 28.

UFC officials announced the bout on Monday, following an initial report by The MMA Corner.

Marquardt (32-13-2) is back to 185 pounds after a stint at welterweight. Marquardt KO’d Tyron Woodley to capture the vacant Strikeforce welterweight title in his 170-pound debut. What followed was three straight loses, including first round KO losses to Jake Ellenberger and Hector Lombard.

Te Huna is 16-7. The New Zealand native will be making his middleweight debut and is coming off first-round losses to Glover Teixeira and Shogun Rua.

Do you think the move to middleweight will give Marquardt’s career a boost?
