March 29, 2015 9:17 am by Ryan C. Miller

The Filipino Wrecking Machine or Mark Munoz recently spoke about his upcoming retirement and the final fight of his career, which will take place in his parents home country.

Munoz will fight Luke Barnatt on May 16 in Manila on the UFC Fight Night: Edgar vs. Faber card.

Munoz talks about his retirement and gives his thoughts on his last fight taking place in the Philippines.

“I’ve been talking to my wife about it. We had agreed that when my youngest daughter gets into first grade, I’ll be done. Well, she’s been in first grade for [a few months] now.”

“I’m so excited. I’ve been pushing for this opportunity for so long. I’ve been doing frequent trips back there to promote the UFC and it’s finally coming to fruition. I didn’t think this day would come. Thank goodness it has when I’m still fighting. I am so motivated for this fight.”
