“Everybody keeps talking about the title. Of course, I want to fight for the title and I did my best on Saturday night (to earn a shot), but it’s up to the UFC now to decide if I deserve it or not. I’ll be ready for anything. If they want me to fight once more time, I’ll be ready… ’Jacare’ (Souza) would be a good option, and (Michael) Bisping would also be another good option. I’m waiting for their decision. Waiting a little longer would be good because I would be able to relax and get hungrier whenever I start my next camp. But the good side on fighting again is that I would stay active.”
In a recent interview with MMAFighting.com’s Guilherme Cruz, ‘The Dragon’, Lyoto Machida talked about his title prospects coming off his UFC Fight Night 36 win over Gegard Mousasi.
Should Machida wait for the Weidman vs. Belfort winner or try to squeeze in another top opponent first?
