Kimbo Camp Confirms Bellator Offer, Nothing Signed Yet

By BJPENN.COM News - June 18, 2014

Could one of MMA’s biggest TV draws be coming back for a stint under Scott Coker?

That’s what the rumor-mill has been filled with since our report last week.

Now, we have confirmation from Ariel Helwani, that indeed, talks have taken place with the Bellator promotion.

In Ariel’s report (via mmafighting.com), Kimbo’s manager Icey Mike cleared the air, “They had reached out to us. However, it was very informal and nothing has been decided.”

“You know Kimbo is down to fight whenever. There’s actually a few options out there, so whatever makes most sense I think he’s gonna with.”

Kimbo, the infamous Youtube Street Brawler, fought for EliteXC and completed a stint on The Ultimate Fighter before inking a deal with the UFC. He was eventually released by the promotion and hasn’t been active since 2010.
