Former UFC welterweight current middleweight Kelvin Gastelum wants to return to his previous division.
Only problem with that? UFC president Dana White forced him to go up because of issues with making weight. According to Gastelum, who is preparing to fight in Mexico City, in order for him to return to the division he feels is best for him he has to work it out with the boss.
Here’s what he had to say to MMAJunkie Radio.
I’m still learning. I’m still very, very young. I’m still growing as a person and as an athlete. I’ve learned a lot and I feel like I’m barely scratching the surface as to what my real potential is, and I feel great.”
“He’s [White] the one who forced me (to go up to middleweight), so I’ve got to work with him to let me go back down to welterweight.”
