Justin Buchholz: ‘Let’s Focus On Testing Guys, Not Banning IV Bags’

“Their job is to prefect the fighters from illegal substances, not how much weight they should be cutting.”

“If you cut any amount of weight, I would suggest an IV bag. If you’re cutting something like 5 pounds the day of, man that’s rough.”

“I would say, let’s focus on testing guys. Let’s focus on that before we take away something that could potentially cause a lot of harm.”

That’s what Team Alpha Male’s Justin Buchholz had to say about the new IV ban, issued by USADA under the new UFC drug testing policy. Buchholz spoke, while hosting Stud Show Radio, and said he thinks it’s strange that they would ban something that helps fighters re-hydrate before the fight, adding that it could lead to serious injuries.
