Less than a week removed from his signing with the company, Bellator already has major plans for Josh Thomson. “The Punk” may be making his debut sooner than expected at Bellator’s “Dynamite” super-card in September.

Thomson will be squaring off with fellow newcomer Mike Bronzoulis on September 19, 2015 at “Bellator 142: Dynamite”, according to Sherdog.

Bronzoulis is the current LEGACY FC Lightweight Champion and is making his way to Bellator fresh off his championship win. After suffering a tough three fight skid, Bronzoulis finished two opponents before securing his championship by way of unanimous decision. He is no doubt the underdog walking into this fight, but with a professional record of 18-8, he is no slouch.

Thomson will be looking to pick up his first win since 2013 at the expense of Bronzoulis. “The Punk” is on a three fight losing streak, but has not been finished since 2004 at UFC 49! Thomson will obviously be looking to end this fight before it makes it to a judges’ decision as he hasn’t had a good experience with fair scoring.
