Josh Barnett Injury-Free And Ready To Return To The Octagon

April 24, 2014 7:53 am by Jim Chadwick

It looks like “The Baby-Faced Assa…” er, “The Warmaster” is ready for his return to the cage.

After being put on the sidelines in February due to an unspecific knee injury (first reported by Ariel Helwani on UFC Tonight), Josh Barnett has undergone the necessary rehabilitation and is ready to get back into the hunt for the UFC heavyweight belt.

So ready, in fact, that according to, Barnett’s manager insisted that the No. 5 ranked heavyweight was “furious at himself” while watching Travis Browne fight for a title shot against Fabricio Werdum at UFC on FOX 11.

Time will tell if that fury will translate into a renewed fire inside of the Octagon for the onetime heavyweight champion.
