The last man to defeat ‘Notorious’ Conor McGregor, Joseph Duffy, made his UFC debut at UFC 185 in the lightweight division. It really couldn’t have gone any better for the Irish fighter, who dominated Jake Lindsey en route to a TKO win in the first round.

Of course, Duffy has garnered a lot of attention just from beating the now upcoming title challenger, but now that UFC fans have seen him in person the hype for a rematch between the two men has already begun.

Adding fuel to that fire was Joe Rogan who, after returning to his commentator seat after interviewing Duffy in the octagon, said that Duffy’s coach Firas Zahabi told him he was moving down to 145 for his next fight.

It appears though, according to Duffy himself, that the move down is still up in the air and he has yet to decide either way. Duffy spoke after the event:

“It’s nothing definite at the moment. I’ve been speaking with Firas about it, but we’ll sit down in the next couple of weeks, and we’ll decide where to go from here.”
